I started to build my Tribute to Dan Saldanha today. I still cannot believe that he has gone from us and he is missed every day by his friends and colleagues here at the Learning and Skills Council. He was a universally popular guy, well liked, respected and great company. One of my most fond memories of Dan was the day he arrived at work sweating & exhausted because it was the first time he had run into the office. He was red in the face but gasped out that he was determined to do the London Marathon with me for the Guide Dogs team and had to start somewhere! It is still so upsetting to me that he was never able to fulfill his goal. Knowing him as I did and his resolute determination I know that he would have done it & probably left me trailing well behind... as usual. Bob
